As part of our sustainability strategy, a project was launched in 2018 to cultivate 100,000 coconut trees through the engagement of our team and our communities. This project was further extended to grow 500,000 coconut trees by 2025 recognizing the importance of coconut cultivation for the long-term sustainability of the industry. Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to Sri Lanka’s efforts of maintaining the status quo as a leading supplier of coconut products to the world and thereby enhance socio-economic development. Through this initiative, we Intend to instill and inspire the virtue of planting trees and protecting the environment among our children.. “Anagathaya Wawamu” program will ensure the improvement of the livelihoods of our people, a positive impact on the environment as coconut trees are a great source of CO2 sequestration while contributing to the global food system to ensure food security for all.
