Sustainability

Sustainability in action across our operations

Sustainability guides how we plan, operate and invest for future growth .Careful use of our natural resources and maintaining the right ecological balance to meet the needs of both present and future generations alike is a deep-rooted value that we live by. This commitment is apparent in our products, which are made from coconut husk and developed into high-quality growing media for professional growers

Our sustainability work is supported by defined initiatives across energy use, emissions measurement, cultivation support and operational controls, with relevant actions aligned to applicable UN Sustainable Development Goals

The natural environment,  our communities, and our team are at the core of our business and the definition of sustainability to us is ensuring that these three vital pillars are empowered and protected.

Anagathaya Wawamu

Grow your future

As part of our sustainability strategy, a project was launched in 2018 to cultivate 100,000 coconut trees through the engagement of our team and our communities. The programme was later expanded with a long-term ambition of 500,000 plants, recognising the importance of coconut cultivation for the long-term sustainability of the industry. As of 2026, 222,844 seedlings have been successfully distributed and planted. Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to Sri Lanka’s efforts of maintaining the status quo as a leading supplier of coconut products to the world and thereby enhance socio-economic development. Through this initiative, we Intend to instill and inspire the virtue of planting trees and protecting the environment among our children.. “Anagathaya Wawamu” program will ensure the improvement of the livelihoods of our people, a positive impact on the environment as coconut trees are a great source of CO2 sequestration while contributing to the global food system to ensure food security for all.
